Credentials & Approach
I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University in 2008 and have been a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Oregon since 2010. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2003 and before that, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University in 1998. My Pre-Doctoral Internship was at the University of Maine and I was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Hazelden (Betty Ford) Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center. I have been in private practice since 2010.
I consider myself fortunate to have worked in a variety of settings and with a variety of clients during my educational training, and present career, as a Clinical Psychologist. Each person has their own unique life experiences and perspective so I hold the thoughts, feelings and opinions of my clients in high regard. I believe collaboration between a client and therapist is essential for change to occur and trust is foundational.
